Privacy and Information Security Policy of E-STAT by Energy Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).

In order to promote energy information, MOEA provides the E-STAT as a portal for public inquiry. To respect and protect the privacy of our users, and to help you clearly understand how we collect, use and protect the personal data you provide to us, please read our Privacy and Information Security Policy.

Scope of Application

This privacy policy applies to the collection, processing and use of personal data when you interact with E-STAT, but does not apply to other government websites or other websites linked to E-STAT. Links to other websites are subject to the privacy and security policies of those specific sites, and E-STAT does not assume any joint liability.

Collection, Processing, and Use of Personal Data

  • When you browse and download files from E-STAT, relevant records generated by the server, including your IP address, time, browsing and subscription data, will be retained. These data are used for internal traffic and network behaviour analysis to improve the quality of our service. Where necessary for public interest statistics or academic research, the data will be processed so as to make the method of disclosure unidentifiable to specific individuals.
  • If you provide feedback or inquire about related business issues via email or service mailbox, E-STAT will store your communication records for contact purposes only.
  • E-STAT will never arbitrarily sell, trade or rent your personal data to other groups, individuals or private enterprises. The use of your personal information will always be consistent with the specific purpose for which it was collected, except under the following circumstances:
    1. Explicit legal provisions.
    2. To safeguard national security or enhance public interest.
    3. To prevent harm to the life, body, freedom, or property of the individual.
    4. To prevent significant harm to others' rights.
    5. For public interest statistics or academic research by public agencies or academic research institutions, where the data has been processed by the provider or collected in a way that cannot identify specific individuals.
    6. To benefit the rights and interests of the individual.
    7. With the written consent of the individual.
  • According to Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to inquire or request access to your personal data, request a copy, request supplementation or correction, request to stop collection, processing, or use (including withdrawing consent, objecting to further processing of your data), and request deletion. Use of Cookies

Usage Statement

Users should comply with the announced download and connection methods of E-STAT to ensure the stability of the information system and fair use by other users. If the managing agency of this website and relevant agencies are unable to provide user data due to network line or equipment failure, maintenance, power outages, or other force majeure events such as natural disasters, relevant information will be announced on this website in advance or afterward. The managing agency of this website and relevant agencies are not liable for any damages or losses incurred by users as a result.
